2014 to 2015 Blog Update

I've been a bad blogger lately. By lately, I mean the last 6 months. I've been so incredibly busy with other things in my life that I put OFF THE GRID, well, OFF THE GRID until I had more time to dedicate to writing for all of you!

I swear I've been up to some cool things.

I worked diligently through my companies' successful busy season. I traveled to Los Angeles to visit some of my close friends. I threw a New Years Eve benefit. I was on TV.

But there are really two things that have consumed most of my time.

This past year, I have been President of a wonderful organization called Junior Council, which raised money for the Pediatric Infectious Disease clinic Lurie Children's Hospital. Our busiest months are August-February because of our largest fundraiser, Snowball, which was February 7th this year. Junior Council has been such a huge part of my life the past 5 years, first as a general member then working my way up to President! I'm passing the torch this year on to some amazing people who I know are going to kill it this next year!

The main reason I am stepping down? In November 2014, I followed my lifetime dream and started my own business. It's called Letter Loft - it's a custom stationery shoppe. Ever since I worked at a stationery store in high school, I've had a passion for paper products and a dedication to stationery design.

I launched at the right time - all of November and December I was busy designing and printing holiday cards for my clients. In January, I started building out my portfolio, creating designs to sell so I could streamline the printing process. I opened an Etsy store, Letter Loft Prints, and am currently in the process of building out my own eCommerce website to launch April 1. I'm so excited for what is to come!

Long story short, expect to see a lot more of me. I'm back and in blogging full force!
